Thanks to an 11-year-old Pranklopedia reader who we will call "C.G." to protect his identity, I ended up on Australian Broadcasting Corporation's morning radio show, "Breakfast," today to explain how a cutout prank at the back of the book ended up alarming clueless residents of Brisbane. Apparently C.G. cut out the fake recycling notice and hung it on his neighbor's door. Someone who saw it then alerted the Brisbane City Council, who said they had nothing to do with it. From there, it ended up on the Facebook page of ABC, where commenters suggested it was part of an identity theft scam (not sure how that would work but...).
